Annnnnnnnnd it's time for a damn awesome chimi-changan awesome review of DEADPOOL!!!

YES YES YES!! I finally got to see DEADPOOL in cinemas!! Now this was actually the second time I have gone to see the film because you see now, I went on Sunday 14th of Feb, yes Valentine's day with my mum and twe had a big 5.7 magnitute earthquake here in CHCH which caused the mall to close for hte rest fo the day. When this quake hit we were inside the cinema, 20 minutes into the film. FUUUUUUUU-
Ahem, anyways we were reimbursed and bumped up to Xtremescreen (Suh-weet!) and I am now home from seeing it in it's complete gorey and oh so hilarious glory. Leggo.
I haven't read any of the Deadpool comics properly but I have several pages and clippings of the 'best ofs' so I know what Deadpool is all about and I love him (who doesn't?) Like all other Marvel fans, I've been waiting and clinging to hope that Ryan Reynolds would reprise as Wade Wilson because we all know what a failure X-Men Origins: WOLVERINE was interms of everything BUT I was one of thos people who stuck by Reynolds and defended his recasting because he LOOKS LIKE DEADDPOOL AND HE IS NATURALLY A REALLY FUNNY GUY. Have you seen his other films? Reynolds is a hilarious guy on screen and off and he LOVES the character and he knows the character and man oh man did they get this film oh so right.

My face is still sore from how much I was smiling and laughing from DEADPOOL
The opening sequence had the entire cinema laughing within seconds The dialogue hadn't even started yet and everyone was cracking up. We were thrown into the action straight away and the fourth wall was broken pretty early on. Do damn hilarious and funny. The opening scene is that of the 'leaked' footage from Comic Con two years ago (2014) that made everyone lose their minds. It was so fast paced and really got the adrenaline going.
I loved how the events weren't chronological and then once the two ends met - Deadpool himself informed us that we were 'all caught up!' - I seriously dig the fourth wall breaking, it was handled so well.
The jokes - I can't even remember half of them there were SO MANY and all so hilarious. So slick, witty and daring especially the ones pointed to 20th Century Fox about the whole Marvel rights / shared universe buisness. The sexual jokes were especially daring but so funny in an actual not-uncomforatble way which is rare for me anyway.
I really need to mention how excellent Colossus was. They got his character SPOT ON. Last year I watched all of 'X-MEN: The Animated Series' and first off I loved it, I plan on re-watching it all soon because it was so so good. The portrayal of Colossus was spot on everything from his mannerisms, speaking manner and politeness - he even sounded the same as he did in the animated series. His 'big bro' persona really shown threw with his interactions with Negasonic Teenage Warhead (isn't that the coolest hero name ever?) - cudos Fox, cudos.
Pretty much everything in this film was perfect - even that impressive montage early in the film of the many special occasions Wade and Vanessa had sexual intercourse. And you know what? Somehow it wasnt weird or awkward because yeah we saw stuff but they didn't overdo it so that we were put in a weird position - it was handled so tastefully. I can't get over the 'Happy International Women's Day' - that was unexptected but quite pleasing if I do say so myself.
There is only one thing that bothered me that I wish had happned - Vanessa never turned into Copycat / her mutant powers never got awoken. I really thought it was going to happen especially when she was in the oxygen chamber because she was in an absolute high stress situation and I thought she would transform into her blue-skinned self and save Wade as he was hanging on that cliff. But oh-well now that the sequal is underway maybe she will be explored a bit more because that would be a fantastic dynamic.
I
But I am most excited for Cable. Cable is literally the definition of badass. I am totally okay with Stephen Lang being cast as Cable but who knows if that is who they will actualy cast. I really would be keen for Jon Hamm.

So basiclly that's all I can say. I loved it, every damn second of it. It's pretty much perfect. I really want to see it again. I will probably see it again. I am so tired, I had work from 8:30am - 6pm and then the movie was at 6:20pm so I am flat out ready to hit the hay. I just really wanted to get this review done while it was somewhat fresh. I really need to see it again. Actually I might see it again in Japan because it comes out in June in Japan so hey might see it in Tokyo who knows?!
Alright well g'night - I love Deadpool and I wanna try Chimichangas because I've never had one before :(
BYEEEE!
