Now that I have finally collected myself and have complete silence I am ready to share amazing amazing amazing news with you. WASEDA HAS OFICALLY ACCEPTED ME!!!! IT'S ALL OFFICIAL NOW! I AM GOING TO WASEDA UNIVERSITY ON EXCHANGE FOR A WOLE YEAR!!!

I really cannot express how overwhemed I am. When I heard my Uni email go off I thought it was just going to be a normal email from Percy (the international mobility coordinator at UC) but nope it was Percy congratulating me and forwarding the acceptance email from Waseda University!!

When I opened that email I literally screamed and shot up from the couch and rushed to the dining table because I couldn't believe it was really happening. I read the first sentence and went from laughing with joy to crying hysterically with joy. I cry very easily if I am moved and to say I was moved would be an understatement. I was just so genuinly happy I could do nothing but burst into tears. All my hard work, all the sacrifices, all the goals and all the waiting has finally been rewarded. I cannot say how grateful I am to everyone at UC and Education NZ who has helped support me to get to this position.

Right so after about 10 minutes of crying and trying to calm myself with some green tea I went ahead and read all the attatchments that has the details of my schedule, dorm accomadation and pre-departure information. It was a lot so I might make a seperate post with all those details guiding you through that process for people who are interested in following my footsteps.

After that I bought my plane ticket!! The major thing that I have been dying to do - still have lots of major things to purchase such as travel insurance and visa but this is the real confirmation that I am indeed going to Japan!

So as you can see this is a night flight! This was the best and only flight that would arrive Wednesday 17th March in the morning as the limousine bus (yes you read that right but I am pretty sure they are just normal bus shuttle type things) picks up 3 times durng the day and you must be there before 4:30pm at the latest. The only other flight option (which was actually cheaper) would arrive after 6pm so this is the best option!

I am actually glad this is the flight I got because I don't have to wake up early haha and also it gives me a lot of time to prepare. I will be catching the 11am limousine bus from Narita Airport (that's the first one of the day) and that will allow me to be the first fresh foreign face to make a good impression!

The only thing I am NOT looking forward to is the 3 hour 20minute stop at Auckland airport. That is such an awkward time to be waiting I mean 10pm - 1am??? THAT IS MY BED TIME BRUH! I will have to do my best to stay awake dring those 3 hours, it might be a lot easier than I predict since I'll be so excited. I can spend that time editing my vlog on my laptop since I will have it with me. I will of course be vlogging during this time as well. I might have to prepare something in advance to eat/drink in Auckland because I really am not sure if I can stay awake without something in my system since on my second flight (Auckland to Tokyo) I will HAVE to sleep for the majority of it since it will be 8:15 in the morning when I arrive in Japan which means I have to stay awake all day in Japan until say 10pm which is when I will have my first sleep in Japan.

The flighs will be challenging but I am excited about the challenge. I can get a bit nervous in the dark since I have poor vision and at night everything looks different but I know that the Aukland Airport is very well labelled and straight forward to get from the domestic terminal to the international departures terminal. I am assuming they will be serving a snack and breakfast on the flight - I am kind of bummed that I have to sleep for the flight, I was really looking forward to watching movies and editing my vlogs but it can't be helped I mean I'll probably be able to watch 1 or 2 movies for sure but I NEED to make sure I sleep for at least 8 hours.

Speaking of sleep I really need to be in bed now. Everything is suddenly moving so fast. I am going to Uni tomorrow first thing after I have breakfast. I'm going to go to the library to print and scan everything I need to for exchange scholarships and document stuff for uni. It'll take a while so I want to get it done in the morning so I can organise everything else I need to do.

Okay I better get to bed, I really had an amazing day I mean 1st of Feb - Mondays are now a favourite day of mine. I will never forget that today was the day it all became official.
